We have made arrangements with our authorized retail accounts to accept returns with material or workmanship flaws. It's important to check there first for fastest service. However, if you are not able to return an item to the original place of purchase, you can send certain products directly back to Nike for inspection (please review previous screen for applicable product). In general, if the product is found to have a material or workmanship flaw, a Nike.com product voucher will be issued as a replacement. Product vouchers will be issued for the original suggested retail price of the product only. All product vouchers will be mailed via USPS. Some swimwear, children's apparel, cycling and golf accessories may receive direct product replacement instead of a product voucher. Direct product replacements will be of the same or comparable style as original item returned.

Nike product return guidelines:

Some Nike products have specific guarantees and/or warranties. Please read the label, hang tag or packaging material for specific return information.

  • No refunds. All refunds must be obtained through the original place of purchase only.
  • No exchanges due to size, fit, or style selection problems.
  • For Nike.com purchase returns click here.
  • Products purchased through Nike Factory Outlet stores must be returned or exchanged through a Nike Factory Outlet store. Visit Nike Outlet Stores for a listing of outlets in your area.

The following WILL NOT be accepted:

  • Footwear older than 2 years from the original date of manufacture. Any footwear returns exceeding the 2 year date of manufacture limit will be returned without inspection. The manufacturing date can be found on the tag inside the shoe. If your shoe has the old tag, the first two numbers in the manufacturing date represent the year, the middle two numbers represent the month and the last two numbers represent the day. If you have the new tag, the manufacturing date is above the bar code and to the left.
  • Products Nike determines in its sole discretion to be free of any material or workmanship flaws.
  • Products evidencing excessive wear, misuse or alteration.
  • Size, fit, and style selection complaints.
  • Salesman samples or Promotional products.
  • Returns from consumers residing outside the U.S.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be advised that you must include a return address on any package sent to our consumer warehouse. For the safety of our employees, any package received without a return address on the outside of the package will be destroyed and Nike will not replace the contents of the package. Thank you for your cooperation.

To receive inspection services, any and all items returned to Nike must meet the following requirements:

  • Each item returned must have a Nike claim number.
  • A claim number is obtained by calling Nike at 1-800-344-6453 for automated claims service.
  • The Nike claim number must be clearly printed on the outside of the shipping container.
  • Only one returned item per claim number is allowed. Items purchased in "pairs" (such as footwear) must be returned in pairs and are considered 1 item requiring one claim number.
  • Multiple returned items in a shipping container must have an equal number of claim numbers. Example: 2 pairs of footwear must have 2 claim numbers on the outside of the shipping box. Any discrepancy will result in the entire contents returned to sender without inspection.
  • Shipments received at any Nike location without proper claim numbers will be returned to sender without inspection.
  • Nike is not responsible for misdirected or lost packages or any actions that result of not following the guidelines provided.
  • Please include a brief note with the product describing the issue for return.

Inspections and Product Voucher Redemption:

  • Upon product receipt and inspection, if the product is determined by Nike in its sole discretion to have a material or workmanship flaw, a Nike.com product voucher will be mailed via USPS with redemption instructions to the address provided.
  • Some swimwear, children's apparel, cycling and golf accessories may receive direct product replacement instead of a product voucher. Direct product replacements will be of the same or comparable style as original item returned.
  • If a product voucher is issued, the product will not be returned and will be recycled.
  • Vouchers may be redeemed through Nike.com only.
  • Vouchers are nontransferable and are not redeemable for cash.
  • Vouchers cannot be used for the purchase of gift cards.
  • Voucher value will equal Nike's suggested retail price of the item returned.
  • Upon voucher redemption, the order total includes the price of the product(s), sales tax, where applicable, and shipping charges. If the order total exceeds the voucher amount, the remaining balance must be paid for by a credit card.
  • Unused voucher balances can be used for future purchases through Nike.com.
  • Nike is not responsible for lost or stolen product vouchers. Treat them like cash.
  • Nike reserves the right to suspend or cancel any issued product vouchers that are associated with a violation of our policies. Nike reserves the right to refuse, cancel or hold for review vouchers and orders for suspected fraud, or for vouchers mistakenly issued in an incorrect denomination, or for violations of Nike.com voucher policies. In addition, Nike reserves the right to void any product vouchers and/or recycle products associated with previous fraudulent or abuse of the claim process.
  • Products that DO NOT pass Nike's inspection process will be returned with an explanation. Products returned but deemed undeliverable by the carrier and sent back to Nike will be recycled or destroyed and Nike will not replace the contents of the package.
